Flik Independent School Dining at Harvey School in Katonah, NY is hiring a seasonal Senior Cook to prepare nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday. Prior cooking experience is preferred; internal referral bonus available.

The position offers a fixed pay rate of $22.00 per hour, with free meals and laundering services at select locations. We emphasize nourishing the whole person with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and educational programs for students.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the cooking activities as assigned by the Food Service Director
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
• Operate and clean equipment after use; perform routine cleaning
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage of dry goods and perishables
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and procedures
• Maintain daily production records and required documentation
• Assist in cross training of employees
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy. Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
