We are hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Cook position.

Location: Northwell Health Corporate Offices, 2000 Marcus Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11042. Note: Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Scratch cooking, preparation of soups, sauces, grilling, and sautéing required.

Pay Range: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored, following federal, state, local, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items according to policy; maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated/frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food quality and safety.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete documentation, reports, and logs.
• Assist in cross-training employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
