Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time SENIOR COOK positions at Morrison Healthcare (Compass Healthcare) located at Gainesville Shands UF, 1600 South West Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32610. The role involves preparing nutritious and flavorful meals in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items according to policy; help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assist in the cross‑training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of senior cooking experience.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• For positions in Florida, basic Level 2 background screening may be required.
