Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Senior Cook for a full-time day shift at Brookwood Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, AL. The role runs Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

You will prepare nutritious meals, supervise cooking activities, and ensure quality and safety in line with standards. A minimum of 3 years cooking experience is required.

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare entrees and menu items following recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after use. Performs scheduled routine cleaning.

• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining daily production records and completes required documentation.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.

• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
