Job summary

SodexoMagic is seeking a Senior Cook to join our team at the Lawrence Township location. You will prepare nutritious dishes, emphasize customer service, and help reduce food waste while maintaining high food quality throughout service periods.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, follow recipes, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our clients and guests.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow complex recipes and prep diverse menu items.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and/or cold items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and catered events.
• Follow complex recipes and product directions to ensure quality and consistency.
• Produce small to large batches using a full range of classical and contemporary cooking techniques.
• May oversee production staff, train and assign tasks as needed.
• Attend shifts on time and maintain regular attendance.
• Support client requirements and adapt to account-specific needs.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Cook at SodexoMagic, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve. You provide the highest quality of food service to customers at all times.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.


• Follows complex recipes and/or product directions


• Produces small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating and garnishing techniques


• May have oversight over the production staff train and assign tasks


• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity


• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
