Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan seeks a Sr. ATC/WTS Technician to support field projects, sales, engineering, and commissioning. You will oversee technical aspects, perform point-to-point checkout, download software, calibrate hardware/software, and maintain project documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field experience in controls.
• Must be able to obtain a minimum security clearance and pass a background investigation.
• Insurable MVR and ability to drive company van/truck.
• Ability to work independently and interface directly with customers.
• Must provide and maintain personal tools (basic screw drivers, pliers, adjustable wrenches, digital multimeters).
• Knowledge of HVACR systems, gas distribution, and commercial refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ATC submittals and site surveys for estimates and engineering.
• Act as field liaison to provide technical installation aspects to PM, field, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate equipment locations and interconnecting communication bus; ensure submittals meet documentation.
• Execute point-to-point checkout of hardwired I/O per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Create/Modify programming per sequence of operations; ensure system operation per SOP.
• Provide feedback to subcontractors and supervisors to ensure on-time completion and code compliance.
• Document commissioning sheets and system documentation per procedures; maintain project records.
• Perform on-site testing of application programming and GUI graphics to verify operation.
• Maintain daily field reports, archival of user files, and change-order communication.
