Job summary

DynaTen Corporation, a Comfort Systems USA company, seeks a senior Controls Tech IV to lead complex building-automation projects for commercial HVAC, lighting, monitoring, and related systems in the North Texas market.

You will review documents, configure and test controllers, collaborate with engineers and electricians, and deliver reliable, secure control solutions while guiding junior staff and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years in commercial building-automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences, and equipment info.
Proficient with controls software and field documentation.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, label, test, and document controllers, panels, sensors, actuators, relays, and wiring.
Review drawings, sequences of operation, and project requirements before work begins.
Perform point-to-point checkout, controller setup, calibration, and commissioning support.
Diagnose and correct control/ integration issues using meters, software, and data trends.
Coordinate with customers, electricians, engineers, programmers, and project leadership.
Provide daily reports, time, material, deficiencies, and turnover documentation.
Coach junior technicians and lead resolution of complex issues.
Adhere to safety policies, lockout/tagout, and cybersecurity requirements.
Support after-hours cutovers, commissioning, or on-call service as assigned.
