Job summary

Jedson Engineering is seeking an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Lead to guide project scope and execution for industrial process customers.

You will work directly with clients, specify instrumentation, design control panels, develop datasheets, and manage costs and changes, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings Honeywell Experion DCS expertise, 10+ years in engineering within EPC or similar firms, and strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school.
• BS degree in Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience in project engineering, including EPC or engineering firm experience.
• Familiar with industrial automation and IT structure and configuration including server configuration, networking, Historian.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document the scope of work.
• Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators.
• Create datasheets and work with vendors to get quotes for instrumentation and valves for various applications.
• Coordinate with process engineering team to select the appropriate devices.
• Create schematics, termination drawings, or loop sheets for instrument wiring.
• Design custom control panels to meet the project need.
• Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met.
• Develop and track project costs.
• Identify, document, and communicate changes to scope.
• Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs.
• Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust.
• Review and manage all project deliverables.
• Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the project.
