Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior Controls and Data Engineering Leader to guide a cross-functional team on industrial automation initiatives across biotech, medical device, and renewable energy sectors.

You will oversee architecture development, programming, testing, and commissioning, while managing schedules, budgets, and project margins. Collaboration with sales on estimates and scope is essential, with emphasis on building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, or CS.
• 8+ years of industry experience in industrial automation or controls engineering with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, and electrical systems design.
• Experience taking automation projects from concept to commissioning.
• Ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams across estimates, scope, and release.
• Customer-facing experience and ability to build long-lasting client relationships.
• Experience providing quotes and involvement in engineering sales is a plus.
• Electrical systems design experience such as interconnect diagrams and control panel layouts is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of controls and data engineers through complex industrial automation projects for clients in diverse industries such as biotechnology, medical device, and renewable energy.
• Provide technical input throughout architecture development, programming, testing, and commissioning.
• Responsible for operational execution including schedule, budget, forecasting, and project margins.
• Work with sales on estimates, proposals, and scope development.
• Develop relationships with existing customers and identify new leads, leveraging knowledge of technology trends to establish credibility.
• Manage multiple projects while coaching and developing your engineering staff.
