Job summary

TAMKO is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain control system software for equipment used in continuous manufacturing. The role requires developing PLC programs, creating block libraries, and documenting control systems across multiple facilities.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and travel up to 15% to TAMKO facilities. A bachelor's degree and 7+ years in PLC development and control theory are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience with PLC programming and control theory.
• 3+ years of experience with Siemens TIA Portal, process control, and motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs for large manufacturing process control systems using an object-oriented library.
• Create PLC function block library elements using object-oriented programming methods.
• Act as technical representative for TAMKO on industrial control systems and mentor staff as needed.
• Generate control system documentation during project execution and assist in creating process/engineering drawings.
