Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for our Buffalo, NY plant. You will lead power and control systems, specify equipment, oversee maintenance, and mentor technicians to achieve reliability targets.

Responsibilities include standards development, project ownership from masterplan to upgrades, MES data validation from PLCs, HMI and KPI development, and ensuring NFPA 70/70e/79 and OSHA 1910 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 years of controls or electrical engineering experience.
• Understanding of machine and/or process control hardware, instrumentation and software.

Responsibilities

• Primary administrator and troubleshooter for plant power and control systems.
• Develop and manage power and control standards for projects and upgrades.
• Lead site masterplan execution for power and controls systems.
• Develop technician skill development for E&I personnel.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, NFPA 70e, NFPA 79 and OSHA 1910.
• Validate MES data from PLCs and aid data analysis.
• Support design and implementation of control and automation applications.
• Identify losses and develop plans to reduce safety, quality, reliability and cost.
• Own elements for power and control systems safety and CCP compliance.
• Collaborate on equipment selection and training for new systems.
• Serve as project manager for E&I and capital initiatives.
• Provide power and controls engineering support for capital projects.
• Apply control, simulation and process modeling to improve packaging operations.
