Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our manufacturing clients in Anoka, MN. You will design, implement, and support control systems for production test equipment to validate new products before manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming, HMI development, and experience with end-of-line test systems. You will collaborate with NPI, manufacturing, and test development teams to deliver reliable, scalable test solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years of controls/automation or production test experience.
• 6+ months hands-on PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience with end-of-line test systems in production.
• Familiar with capital equipment and machine builders.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, debug, and support control systems for production test equipment.
• Program PLCs and develop HMIs.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and integrate with machine builders.
• Develop data acquisition and test logging capabilities.
• Support FAT/SAT activities.
