Job summary

ATI Albany Operations seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to join our world-class manufacturing team. You will design, develop, and implement equipment control systems to improve plant efficiency and reliability, and you will work closely with craftspeople, internal teams, and external vendors.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of industrial experience, and hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SQL databases, and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of industrial experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment and controls systems expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify machine control system architectures.
• Write machine control software for installation and integration.
• Develop and maintain HMIs and data historization systems.
• Lead control system improvement projects and collaborate with vendors and craftsmen.
