Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Controls Engineer 4 to design, develop, install, and maintain equipment for monitoring and controlling systems.

You will work across industries including industrial controls, water and wastewater, power controls, and transportation, applying expertise in PLCs, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, and distributed control systems. Qualifications

Proficient in ladder logic and structured text programming.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience reading electrical and control schematics/plans.
Experience with control system startup, configuration, calibration.
Experience with QA/QC and design reviews.
Experience with CAD/CAE software (AutoCAD / EPLAN).

Responsibilities

Design / Engineering: Originates design documents for small projects and in support of large programs.
Lead programming / configuration team efforts for complex automation and SCADA applications.
Program / Configure / troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and/or HMI systems.
Testing / Troubleshooting / Deployment / Commissioning
Author testing / commissioning procedures
Preparation of test reports
Maintenance and field service troubleshooting on existing systems.
