Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical/Computer Engineer to design, program, and manage industrial control systems projects. You will develop drawings, BOMs, specifications, and quotations while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer or other relevant engineering disciplines.
• 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, machine vision and motion control products is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
• Ability to manage complex projects with strong organization and communication.

Responsibilities

• Apply products and technologies to automate client processes and solve challenges.
• Develop and maintain drawings, BOMs, project specifications, and change documentation.
• Generate quotations for projects including cable assemblies, control panels, turnkey systems, and programming.
• Conduct feasibility studies with automation equipment to specify hardware and software.
• Design control systems including electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Configure, program, test, and debug PLCs, HMIs, motion controls, robots, and vision systems.
• Manage engineering projects and communicate status to management, sales, and clients.
• Provide customer education and training as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and production processes.
