Job summary

ICU Medical is seeking an Engineer III, Controls to lead automation improvements, evaluate existing control systems, and support manufacturing with design control processes. You will work with maintenance and project teams to drive efficiency, quality, compliance, and safety across production lines.

Key duties include troubleshooting, developing P&IDs and wiring diagrams, and programming PLCs/HMI/SCADA. At least 4 years in controls, with a Electrical Engineering degree, is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 4+ years of experience in controls or automation.
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and drive systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SME for equipment and machine control systems; lead troubleshooting.
  • Analyze and implement process equipment and network improvements for cost savings.
  • Create and update P&IDs, wiring schematics, and I/O drawings.
  • Support project scope, design, FAT/SAT, start-up, commissioning and validation.
  • Develop controls programming for AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Vision systems.
  • Identify long-range replacement and continuous improvement plans; root-cause analysis.
  • Improve OEE, maintenance needs, and scrap reduction.
  • Supervise others on projects and train new staff on HMIs and documentation.
