Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support our growing client base in the manufacturing sector. The role involves defining control system requirements, coordinating with owners, vendors, and project teams, and delivering high-level consulting services.

You will contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling, while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards. Occasional international travel is required as projects span multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience across multiple industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Knowledge of project planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Ability to align objectives with organizational goals and functional outcomes.
• Experience with DCS/PLC/HMI/MES/SCADA systems.
• Strong communication skills across stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% (domestic/international).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and provide technical support for business development.
• Deliver high-level consulting and define control system requirements.
• Prepare scope definitions and estimates for engineering work.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with owner teams, vendors, and subs.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure safety and compliance in design.
