Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a remote role based in the United States to lead process control and equipment initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will partner with manufacturing teams to scope, coordinate, and deliver capital projects from design through start-up, while contributing to operating standards and equipment selection.

Responsibilities include coordinating design/start-up, developing project scopes, estimating capital needs, and implementing timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Agricultural/ Food/ Industrial/ Feed)
• 10+ years of related engineering experience
• Experience in Animal Feed or Food industries
• Experience managing process equipment and construction projects
• Strong project management skills with a focus on cost improvements
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SKM

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Food & Beverages space.

This role will support process control and equipment initiatives across manufacturing operations, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and safe, effective plant performance. You will partner closely with manufacturing teams and other stakeholders to scope, coordinate, and deliver capital projects from design through start-up. The position also involves contributing to operational standards, equipment selection, and practical solutions that improve efficiency across diverse processing environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $123,920 – $185,880 annually

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in operations within Animal Feed, Food, or related industries
• Strong knowledge of mechanical or agricultural engineering and processing plants and equipment
• Experience developing and managing process equipment and construction projects
• Proven project management skills with a focus on process improvements and cost initiatives
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and SKM
