We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation projects for a dynamic industrial automation firm. This role requires expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/DeltaV systems, along with project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and commission control systems while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring project profitability.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Licensure: PMP certification a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in industrial automation (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS/DeltaV).
    • 2-3 years minimum with Emerson DeltaV platform.
    • Experience in PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions.
    • Project management for systems up to $10M.
  • Technical Skills:
    • PLC platforms: Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon.
    • HMI/SCADA: Ignition, FactoryTalk, Aveva, GE iFIX.
    • Programming: Ladder Logic, Structured Text, VBA, SQL, Python.
    • Industrial networking: Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, client relations, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement control system architectures (PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA).
  • Develop schematics, panels, and network designs (under 480VAC).
  • Lead project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and profitability.
  • Commission systems on-site and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
