ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in Columbus, OH to support critical control systems at CHP and utility assets.
You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve PLCs, DCS, HMIs, networks, and historian platforms while ensuring reliability and cybersecurity compliance. You will participate in on-call rotations and engage with operations, IT/OT teams, and third-party vendors to deliver robust engineering solutions and system integration across the Ohio State University

As our Senior Controls Engineer, you will support and maintain critical industrial control systems across utility and power generation assets, with primary focus on the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant at The Ohio State University.
This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving control systems including PLCs, distributed control systems (DCS), industrial networks, and historian platforms. The position requires a self‑directed engineer capable of supporting real‑time operations, commissioning activities, and long‑term system reliability.
This position participates in on‑call rotation and may require support outside normal business hours. This role will report to the Project Management Manager.
Salary Range: $102,000 - $156,000 USD annually. This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus & incentive plan.
