Job summary

Actalent in Bellefontaine, OH seeks a Sr Electrical Controls Engineer to design and build custom automation solutions for industrial clients, from conception through startup and commissioning, with hands-on manufacturing exposure and travel as needed.

You will lead PLC/HMI programming, panel design, and mentor junior engineers, while ensuring NEC/NFPA 79, UL508A and OSHA compliance on multi-project initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical controls experience in manufacturing, automation, or system integration environments.
  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming.

  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems and automation technologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Associate Degree with significant applicable automation or manufacturing experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with robotics, AGVs, AMRs, or material handling systems.
  • Experience in a custom machine building or systems integration environment.
  • Project management or project leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A, and OSHA standards.
Work Environment

This role is set in a collaborative and hands-on engineering environment where employees work directly with equipment and automation systems throughout the project lifecycle. Employees will be exposed to modern manufacturing and fabrication facilities and advanced automation technologies, including robotics, AGVs, AMRs, and conveyance systems. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bellefontaine, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
