We have a Senior Electrical Engineer position available in Albuquerque, NM. This person will interact directly with the customers and Wunderlich-Malec engineers and drafters in identifying requirements, developing specifications, and implementing/testing/commissioning/qualifying electrical solutions. The engineer researches systems ideas and draws up plans for power and control at 480 VAC and below, including instrumentation and control devices.
The engineer is responsible for reviewing and developing system specifications and drawing packages. The engineer conducts factory tests as needed. In addition, they provide support throughout the construction and commissioning of the electrical and control systems they have designed including installation and wiring, check-out support, and commissioning/qualification. As a Senior Engineer, they may be required to manage a team of engineers to meet overall schedule requirements. They will be responsible for overall quality. During proposal phases, they should be experienced with developing a scope of work and cost estimate of hours for the deliverables. They will Project Manage jobs of various sizes.
Ideally, the candidate is also interested and experienced with PLC or DCS programming, HMI/SCADA programming, network design, and/or IT/OT equipment.

Minimum Requirements
Education A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience is required. Interest in progressing to a PE license will be supported.
Experience
10 years of experience with capabilities in below areas:
Physical Demands of Position Seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, ability to mount/dismount equipment, pushing and pulling.
Working Environment Standard office environment, on-site office environment, diverse industrial environments including hazardous area classification spaces, frequent use of personal computer, facsimile/copy machines, phones.
