Job Description:
Wunderlich-Malec is excited to announce an opening for a Controls Engineer in our Addison, TX office. This pivotal role demands a deep technical proficiency in crafting automation solutions using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Collaborate: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, develop specifications, and lead a talented team of engineers through solution implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Innovative Solutions: Deliver cutting-edge automation solutions and design standards, whether independently or leading a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and system efficiency.
- System Conceptualization and Design: Envision, detail, and execute control systems for industrial processes that align with customer requirements. Develop control system architecture, select components, and detail diagrams and documentation.
- Programming and Implementation: Program controllers (PLC, DCS/Delta V) and process visualization (HMI/SCADA), develop databases for historical system data, and oversee system commissioning at client facilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in various programming languages, including Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, and familiarity with VBA, .NET, SQL, and Python for developing HMI/SCADA systems.
- Networking: Experience with industrial networking to connect control system components efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Proven technical proficiency in automation solutions with platforms such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V.
- Strong leadership capabilities with an aptitude for problem-solving and fostering business partnerships.
- Experience in programming languages for control system implementation.
