Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) seeks a Sr. Engineer to design, develop, and certify military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. You will decompose requirements, craft software architectures, verify through tests, and support engine tests. English communication with customers is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in STEM with 3 years of engineering experience
• 2 years of programming experience with Java, C/C++, R, Python, Linux or DOORS
• U.S. Citizen – U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electrical systems.
• Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into systems or software requirements and designs.
• Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.
• Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.
