Job summary

Jobtailor in Missouri seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and engineering for control system projects, including PLC/SCADA, motor starters, and enclosures. You will collaborate with Controls Project Designers on hardware specs, submittals, and solutions, and perform PLC and HMI programming, commissioning, and on-site implementation.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
7+ years in control systems automation and instrumentation consulting or construction.
11+ years in control systems automation and instrumentation consulting or construction industry.
Strong expertise in design techniques, tools, and production of technical plans and specifications.
Proficiency interpreting and creating controls documentation, including P&ID drawings and symbols.
Skilled in managing and completing moderately complex control system designs.
Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, IO testing, and drive setup.
Strong technical and analytical skills across controls design.
Ability to perform PLC programming and HMI development independently.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience mentoring, training, and leading team members.
Ability to travel up to 20%, with occasional overnight stays of up to two weeks.
Associates degree or certificate in Automation and Instrumentation or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct site visits, manage change orders, and resolve client or construction issues.
