Job summary

Triumph Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Controller to lead accounting across two CT facilities. You will oversee general ledger, cost, inventory, fixed assets, and payroll accounting, and drive timely close and consolidated reporting.

Partners with plant leadership to provide financial guidance, improve cost discipline, implement standard costing, and ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. Regular travel between West Hartford and Windsor is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing accounting functions across multiple locations.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial processes.
• Supervisory/people management experience.
• ERP proficiency: SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• GAAP and internal control expertise.
• Leadership and cross-site collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations for both facilities; general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Lead month-end and year-end closes and consolidate financial statements.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages with P&L analysis and variance reviews by facility.
• Manage standard costing, labor/material/overhead variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with plant managers for financial guidance, cost analysis, and decision support.
• Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counting across sites.
• Manage capital expenditure tracking, fixed asset accounting, and ROI analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors; manage bank relationships.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes and reporting across sites.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff at both locations.
• Support ERP and cost system implementations.
