Job summary

Wow Bao in Chicago is seeking a Senior Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, and compliance for a fast-growing, multi-channel CPG and food manufacturing company.

You will own the books, manage the close, and deliver timely reporting to the CEO, Board, and investors, while building and leading the finance and accounting team. Expect on-site work five days a week in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in CPG, manufacturing or multi-unit retail.
• CPA certification and bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
• Hands-on cash management, treasury, and working capital experience.
• Collaborative leader with excellent communication to CEO, Board and investors.

Responsibilities

• Own full accounting cycle, GL, reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Lead GAAP financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Coordinate external audits and tax compliance with external advisors.
• Manage internal controls and documentation.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash forecasting, and working capital.
• Lead inventory accounting and cost accounting with operations.
