Trinity Metro in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the Accounting Department, supervise professional and clerical staff, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, GASB and federal requirements.

The Controller will manage annual audits, SEFA, ACFR, and other reports, serve as liaison to external auditors, oversee the general ledger, payroll, asset accounting, and internal controls, and partner with the CFO and Board on financial planning.

Qualifications

• CPA license required and active.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible governmental accounting experience.
• Three or more years’ experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Three or more years’ supervisory experience.
• Three or more years’ payroll processing and/or payroll management.
• Substitution with education/experience combinations allowed as needed.

Responsabilités

• Directs day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, allocating staff and resources across close, audit and reporting calendars.
• Leads the production of financial statements and reports, including ACFR and SEFA, and coordinates with external auditors.
• Manages 2 CFR Part 200 Single Audit, major programs identification and compliance testing.
• Maintains internal controls, GAAP/GASB compliance, and policy documentation.
• Oversees GL integrity, payroll processes, and reconciliation of bank/investment accounts.
• Partners with the CFO and Board on financial planning and reporting.
