Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• Experience managing accounting tasks and staff.
• Thorough knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, GL, journals, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Experience with JAMIS or Deltek CostPoint is preferred.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and organized with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis.
• Perform budget vs. actual analysis monthly for the Corporate division.
• Prepare various cash, AP discount, and capitalization reports.
• Review and approve accounts payable per company policy.
• Review and approve applications for new credit arrangements.
• File returns to obtain federal fuel credits quarterly.
• Process journal entries monthly and complete monthly tax returns.
• Manage audits, tax returns, state payments and annual reports.
• Assist with Branch Financial Analysis preparation.
• Conduct internal audits and report results to CFO.
• Prepare vendor analysis reports for CFO.
• Communicate with banks about sweep accounts and LOC renewals.
• Monitor cash balance daily and alert CFO if LOC is low.
• Supervise payroll and accounts payable staff according to policies and laws.
• Interview and train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance.
• Oversee international payroll/correspondence (UK, Germany, Italy).
• Improve internal controls and processes across managed areas.
• Recommend policies relating to financial and business practices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax laws.
