Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering seeks a Controller (Accounting Manager) to lead accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage financial reporting for INSPIRE Alliance. The role reports to the CFO and drives the financial infrastructure for growth.

You will implement Costpoint or a comparable government-contracting system, develop budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate with university finance teams and partners on grants and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent and 10 years of related accounting experience.
• Ten years of related experience with at least two years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, AP, AR and fixed assets.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes and prepare financial statements.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections with CFO input.
• Lead implementation and administration of Deltek Costpoint or similar system.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR/Uniform Guidance and nonprofit regulations.
