PACCAR Leasing Company, a prominent unit of PACCAR, seeks an Assistant Controller for Company Direct to lead U.S. and Canada accounting, financial reporting, and controls.

The role manages a multi-person team, drives accuracy and efficiency, and partners with corporate and treasury teams. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred, and strong analytical and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Company Direct Accounting and U.S. and Canada General Accounting group including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, forecasting, and AP/AR.
• Ensure accounting functions align with corporate policies and procedures.
• Supervise a team of 8 (1 Accounting Manager, 3 staff accountants, 3 AP specialists, 1 AR specialist).
• Coordinate quarterly reports to Corporate Accounting and external auditors to support SEC filings.
• Prepare monthly P&L forecasts with General Managers and Director of Company Direct Operations.
• Perform monthly reviews of journal entries, reconciliations, tax schedules, and other reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee SOX and ICAP testing.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and collaborate with various departments.
• Support operations with information needs and ad hoc analysis.
• Participate in special projects to provide decision-support.
