Job summary

Blue Ops Partners, a boutique M&A and Office of the CFO advisor, seeks an experienced Controller to lead client accounting and drive financial discipline. You will oversee the client’s full accounting function, ensure timely reporting, strengthen controls, and partner with client executives to support value-creation initiatives.

The role is client-facing, involves on-site work at client sites, and requires travel (25-40%). A CPA and strong GAAP background are highly valued.

Qualifications

Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred; corporate accounting leadership considered.
10–20 years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting, consulting or industry roles.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
Hands-on experience overseeing accounting operations and owning financial statements.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee accounting operations for clients, including month-end close and internal controls.
Oversee general ledger management, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reporting.
Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures; manage audits and lender reporting.
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce close cycles; support budgeting and variance analysis.
