YANMAR America is seeking a Senior Controller to lead our accounting operations and consolidated financial reporting functions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, tax coordination, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and strategic financial analysis across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash receipts, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, consolidated reports, and management reporting packages
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, compliance procedures, and financial reporting processes
• Oversee accounting reserves, estimates, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance partners
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting efforts
• Partner with business leaders on P&L performance, inventory management, cost accounting, and financial planning initiatives
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting best practices
• Oversee credit, collections, cash management, and financial risk mitigation activities
• Lead audit preparation and support external audit requirements
• Coach, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a comparable ERP system in a corporate accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes
• Experience overseeing AP, AR, General Ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross‑functional partnership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Cost accounting experience preferred
• Multi‑currency accounting experience preferred
• Consolidation and financial reporting experience strongly preferred
