Job summary

A & Associates is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in industrial automation to design, develop, test, commission and maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA and HMI systems for diverse industrial projects.

The role requires close collaboration with process, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical teams to deliver safe, reliable automation solutions while meeting quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI systems in industrial automation.
• Proficiency with major platforms: Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa.
• Understanding of PID control and process control principles.
• Experience with industrial networks and protocols.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams and wiring schematics.
• FAT, SAT, commissioning and startup experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement control system solutions using PLC, DCS, SCADA and HMI platforms.
• Prepare functional design specifications, control narratives, I/O lists and system architecture documents.
• Develop PLC logic, HMI graphics and SCADA applications; establish alarm management strategies.
• Configure industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA).
• Integrate field instruments, analyzers, drives and third‑party systems with automation platforms.
• Perform FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting activities.
• Diagnose and resolve automation, instrumentation and control system issues.
• Provide technical support during project execution and post‑commissioning.
• Collaborate with process, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality procedures and safety requirements.
• Prepare engineering documentation, operating manuals and test reports.
• Support system upgrades, migrations and lifecycle management.
