Job summary

GrayMatter seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our Building Automation Services team. You will manage specialized work with precision, coordinating mechanical, electrical and controls systems to ensure seamless operation. Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach are required.

The role involves designing, developing and commissioning control solutions, plus training end users on new applications. Travel up to 50% may be required; local work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, EET, ME, MET or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in control systems engineering.
• Experience with PLCs: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Siemens.
• SCADA experience with Ignition.
• Experience with electrical schematics, power distribution, and cooling systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving; excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform GrayMatter services for data center, power gen, and manufacturing controls.
• Design, develop and implement solutions to meet project goals.
• Lead integration between mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Lead commissioning procedures, test scripts, and documentation validation.
• Consult with and train end users on new applications.
• Assist in project development and planning.
• Location is local with up to 50% travel per year.
