About the Role Our client, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Randburg. This on-site role is critical for designing, implementing, and optimizing sophisticated control systems for complex machinery and processes. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of control system projects, from initial concept and design through to programming, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering principles, combined with deep expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial networking. You will collaborate closely with mechanical designers, electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver robust and efficient automation solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control system architectures, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and motion control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing industrial control systems.
• Extensive experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and HMI/SCADA software.
• Strong knowledge of motion control, robotics, and industrial networking protocols.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
