Job Details

The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination and validation with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, it tracks and reports contract status, maintains and updates systems for data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness, and trains stakeholders on contractual requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Reviews, prepares, and evaluates agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy and to interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules, aiming to minimize Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Works closely with Legal, Finance, and other subject matter experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly.
  3. Assesses the need for legal review and engages Corporate Counsel and/or Vice President of Shared Services as needed; assists them by managing priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Supports Senior Manager, Contracts, with complex contracting issues.
  5. Develops and conducts training on contract policies and acumen for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Supports inquiries from business stakeholders regarding contracting, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status.
  7. Manages contract software reporting.
  8. Develops and maintains a library of contractual content, including standard language, special terms, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Performs daily system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure tracking accuracy.
  10. Manages contractual documents across all business platforms.
  11. Leads weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manages the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintains templating documents.
  14. Manages the master contracting data repository for pending contracts.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires education in legal, business administration, grant/contract management, or similar fields, typically obtained through a Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification. Requires five to seven years of experience in contracting or law firm environments. Knowledge of contractual/legal terms and conditions is necessary. Experience in healthcare consulting is preferred.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, drafting, and reviewing contractual language, with impeccable proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills related to contract information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate risk, prioritize tasks, and assess urgency.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and experience with iCertis is preferred.
  • Ability to contribute ideas to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (National Average). Actual ranges may vary based on location, with adjustments for specific states as applicable.
