Job Details

The Sr. Contract Specialist role is responsible for reviewing agreements, handling the administration and customer contact activities associated with contract execution, and processing in accordance with company policies, legal and compliance requirements, and customer specifications. This role ensures the accuracy and consistency of contract content through coordination and validation with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, it involves tracking and reporting contract status, maintaining and updating systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness, and training stakeholders on contractual requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews, prepares, and evaluates agreements prior to signature to ensure accuracy and interpret and influence performance requirements, delivery obligations, timelines, costs, and payment schedules, minimizing Lash Group's exposure to risk.
  2. Works closely with Legal, Finance, and other subject matter experts to validate contract content and resolve inconsistencies promptly.
  3. Assesses the need for legal review and engages Corporate Counsel or Vice President of Shared Services as needed; manages priorities and customer expectations.
  4. Assists Senior Manager, Contracts, with complex contracting issues.
  5. Develops and conducts training on contract policies for new hires and stakeholders.
  6. Supports inquiries regarding contracting, compliance policies, procedures, risks, and contract status from business stakeholders.
  7. Responsible for contract software management reporting.
  8. Maintains a library of contractual content, including common language, special terms, and client-specific requirements.
  9. Performs daily maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure tracking system accuracy.
  10. Manages contractual documents across all business platforms.
  11. Leads weekly contracting status calls with business leaders.
  12. Manages the contract administration email inbox.
  13. Maintains templating documents.
  14. Manages the master contracting data repository for pending contracts.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Educational Requirements:

Requires training and understanding in fields such as legal, business administration, grant/contract management, or similar, generally obtained through a four-year Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification. Requires five to seven years of experience in contracting or law firm environments, with a working knowledge of contractual/legal terms. Healthcare industry consulting experience is preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills for contractual language.
  • Impeccable proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and risk evaluation abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate urgency and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, and experience with iCertis is preferred.
  • Ability to propose and implement efficiency improvements.

Salary Range*

$72,200 - 103,290 (National Average). Actual ranges may vary based on location, with adjustments for specific states.
