Job summary

Moog Inc is seeking a Contract Specialist for a hybrid role in Phoenix, AZ. The position requires a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, plus strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR/UCC, EAR/ITAR, and contract law.

You will write and review contracts, coordinate with legal counsel, and lead documentation through all contract phases while maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Superior analytical skills with ability to work with limited direction under aggressive schedule and cost containment mandates.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
• Experience with Government and customer-furnished equipment and material.
• Contract negotiation experience including domestic and international contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prepare required contractual documents and long-term agreements to protect business and legal positions.
• Write and review contracts, proposals, and long-term agreements.
• Consult with Legal Counsel on contract reviews prior to award to ensure compliance with Moog's proposals and policies.
• Interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations and agency regulations; negotiate new contracts and change orders.
• Collaborate with technical teams on data rights documentation; maintain strong customer relations.
