Job summary

Ankrom Moisan is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel in Portland for a hybrid role. You will partner with design teams and leadership, managing contracts from start to finish and handling risk, insurance, and governance.

You'll own client and consultant contract lifecycles, advise leadership on complex legal matters, and work with outside counsel on high-stakes issues. Report to CFO and supervise a Contract Specialist.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license in the U.S.
• 7+ years of legal experience with contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
• Experience advising senior leadership on complex legal matters.
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risk.

Responsibilities

• Own the full contract lifecycle for client and consultant agreements, from review to negotiation, execution, and renewal.
• Serve as day-to-day counsel to leadership and project teams, translating legal complexity into actionable decisions.
• Advise on risk, compliance, insurance, disputes, governance, and outside counsel coordination.
• Lead negotiation of key risk provisions (SOC, indemnification, liability, IP, dispute resolution, insurability).
• Develop firmwide contract risk guidelines and escalation processes.
• Manage the firm's insurance program and professional liability profile, coordinating renewals with brokers.
• Provide training on contract administration and risk management; oversee the Contract Specialist.
