Job summary

Planet is seeking a highly organized Senior Contracts Manager to join our Global Commercial Legal team. You will manage the full lifecycle of sales-side contracts and supplier subcontracts—from negotiation and drafting to execution and closeout—with 1-2x/year travel.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Washington DC or San Francisco, requiring 10+ years in contracts, strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR/NFS, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex procurements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in proposals, contract, and subcontract management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of US and international procurement regulations (FAR, DFAR, NFS) and standard terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of sales-side contracts and supplier subcontracts, from negotiation to closeout.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain contract records and support audits and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional teams in complex procurements and proposals.
