Job summary

The DGS Office of External Affairs seeks a Senior Contracting Officer in Anchorage, Alaska. The role oversees procurements from request to completion, administers contracts, and coordinates cost adjustments, extensions, and change orders.

It ensures renewals are in place before expiration and tracks contract expenditures to stay within budgets. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, strong purchasing experience, knowledge of construction procurement, and the ability to obtain warrant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 5 years experience in a purchasing role.
• Knowledge of construction procurement.
• Proficiency soliciting competition and knowledge of bidding and proposals.
• Ability to obtain appropriate warrant certificates from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Department of Administration.
• CPM, CPSM, or CPPO certifications desired but not required.
