Job summary

OMNI Consulting Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Contract Specialist to support the MilComm & PNT Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA. This on-site role requires extensive DoD contracting experience and a deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS to manage the full acquisition lifecycle from planning to closeout.

The successful candidate will prepare complex contracting documentation, coordinate with government teams, and support negotiations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant contracting/acquisition experience.
• Substantial DoD contracting experience and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review complex contracting documentation and support negotiations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
• Active DoD security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support cradle-to-grave contracting activities for the MilComm & PNT Directorate.
• Prepare compliant pre-award, award, and post-award documentation per FAR/DFARS and directives.
• Coordinate with Government and contractor teams on strategies, schedules, and actions.
• Review change-order proposals and assessments; coordinate evaluations.
• Analyze EAs, cost/price analyses, and IGCEs as appropriate.
• Develop negotiated positions and support negotiations and related documentation.

Position Title: Senior Contract Specialist
Location: El Segundo, CA (On-site)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance

OMNI Consulting Solutions is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to support the MilComm & PNT Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This position provides senior-level contracting and acquisition support throughout the full acquisition lifecycle, from acquisition planning and pre-award activities through award, contract administration, and closeout. The ideal candidate will have extensive DoD contracting experience, strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and demonstrated experience preparing complex contracting documentation and supporting Government negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support non-inherently governmental cradle-to-grave contracting activities for the MilComm & PNT Directorate.

• Prepare compliant pre-award, award, and post-award documentation in accordance with FAR, DFARS, policy guidance, directives, and instructions.

• Coordinate with Government and contractor program teams on acquisition strategies, proposals, schedules, and contract actions.

• Review change-order proposals and contractor inputs and coordinate technical and information-system evaluations.

• Analyze technical evaluations, cost/price analyses, and Independent Government Cost Estimates, as appropriate.

• Develop recommended Government negotiation positions and support pre-negotiation packages, negotiations, price negotiation memoranda, contract-system inputs, correspondence, reports, and files.

• 10+ years of relevant contracting/acquisition experience.

• Substantial DoD contracting experience and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review complex contracting documentation and support negotiations.

• Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

• Active DoD security clearance is required
