Job summary

Fluor Corporation in the United States seeks an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract management activities on Fluor projects, negotiating terms, evaluating proposals, and coordinating with project controls, legal, and finance teams.

The role reports to senior leadership, supports bid and post-award activities, and aims to protect the company's interests while ensuring timely payments and successful contract closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in applicable field and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or sixteen (16) years if non-degreed
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, Law degree (Juris Doctor), or global equivalent
• Fifteen (15) years of contract management, subcontract administration, and procurement experience supporting engineering and construction projects
• Experience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions for services, construction, engineering, materials and equipment installation
• Experience with administering RFP/RFQ processes for contractors on heavy industrial construction projects
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Administer moderately large and complex contracts
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions, analyze proposals and technical evaluations, coordinate technical scopes of work with project disciplines
• Participate in proposal development activities including preparation of required proposal response and final evaluations
• Perform contract management post-award activities including evaluating contractor productivity, schedule adherence, and change management
• Closeout contracts and issue final modifications, invoices and performance evaluations
• Coordinate timely issue/distribution/response of documents to the Contractor
• Interface with project teams and represent management at interfacing disciplines
