Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business or related field or minimum of 5 years of insurance or securities experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
• Thorough understanding of Northwestern Mutual’s financial network operations.
• Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Superior customer service skills with ability to address and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner in a high-volume area.
• Ability to work independently and coach others on core responsibilities.
• High level attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with case management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality and timely customer service on Contracting, Licensing, Registrations, Terminations and Support.
• Communicates clearly with callers in an open, direct, and timely manner.
• Answers questions that are routine, escalates calls as needed.
• Identifies need for special handling and coordinates problem resolution.
• Provides complete and accurate solutions with appropriate guidance.
• Under supervision, may handle more complex inquiries.
• Adheres to phone schedules and follows procedures.
• Offers regular feedback and helps others with casework as needed.
• Contributes ideas to team meetings and training sessions.
• Demonstrates company values and big-picture thinking.
