Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC – Surety Group in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a Senior Contract Bond Underwriter to review applications, assess risks, and determine pricing and coverage. You will build agency and broker relationships and exercise expanded underwriting authority with significant business development responsibilities.

The role requires a minimum 4-year degree and 5 years of progressive Surety Bond Underwriting experience, plus strong communication and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
• 5 Years Relevant and progressive Surety Bond Underwriting experience that includes a strong working knowledge of state laws and operating procedures.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

Job Summary

For candidates working in person in Hunt Valley, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $93,400 to $140,200.

The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
