The City of Houston Airports System Maintenance/Contract Administration team seeks a Senior Contract Administrator to oversee contracts for HVAC, central utilities, passenger boarding bridges, and related facilities at IAH, HOU, and EFD.
You will read blueprints, contracts, and OEM manuals, ensuring compliance and performance while managing varied contracts. A Bachelor’s degree and four years of contract experience are required, with a Texas license to drive.

PURPOSE OF DIVISION
The purpose of the Houston Airports (HAS) Maintenance division is to effectively deliver self-performed, and contracted, maintenance services at each of the three HAS airports.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Sr. Contract Administrator is responsible to the Division Manager of Contract Administration - Maintenance for the effective technical review and contract compliance for assets that are maintained by outsourced contractors at the Houston Airport System which includes George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby (HOU), and Ellington Airport (EFD). The Sr. Contract Administrator provides management of multiple contracts of various sizes and should be able to demonstrate the capability to read and analyze blueprints, contracts, and OEM service manuals. Must possess a basic knowledge of contracts and mechanical systems. The contracts may include but are not limited to HVAC, Central Utilities Plant, Passenger Boarding Bridges, Baggage Handling System, Pest Control, Fire Protection, Fire Extinguishers, AEDs, Solid Waste, and Portable Toilets. Working within the guidelines of the contract, the Sr. Contract Administrator is responsible for ensuring the Operations and Maintenance service providers safely and efficiently fulfill all contractual obligations and follow all applicable City of Houston, State, and Federal codes and ordinances.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions. Requires the ability to make simple gross motor responses within large tolerances.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Government, or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Four years of contract compliance experience are required.
Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid Texas driver's license and comply with the City of Houston's policy on driving
