Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Principal Contamination Control Engineer to lead contamination control efforts across aerospace systems, including satellites and propulsion. You will apply advanced principles, mentor teams, and influence program direction while ensuring technical excellence and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically 12+ years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge in material sciences, chemistry, or physics.
• Ability to apply advanced technical principles toward long-range goals.
• Capable of developing new principles and concepts.
• Able to solve unusually complex technical problems creatively.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret or higher clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant contamination control projects and develop innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain contamination control plans for programs and products.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other engineers.
• Present technical data, reports, and analyses to stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in high-level meetings and with external partners.
