You will play an integral part in a team that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across the built environment, Defence, transport, energy and government sectors.

Our current committed and projected workload provides a unique and specific opportunity for one or more Senior Contaminated Land Consultants, Scientists or Engineers to join the team in our Melbourne or Adelaide office. The role offers diverse, interesting and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment. Here are the key things you will do:

  • Develop comprehensive sampling analysis plans, site investigations, and remediation action plans.
  • Support significant state development and infrastructure projects by providing specialised reports for environmental assessments.
  • Oversee field programs, coordinating contractor engagement and safety planning prior to mobilisation.
  • Lead fieldwork activities, including soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling, as well as supervising drilling and installation tasks.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members whilst preparing high-quality technical reports to meet regulatory standards.

What can you bring to the team?

We are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant with 5-10 years’ experience in contaminated land to join our team. The role would include a mixture of office and field-based tasks. To be successful in these roles, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental engineering or a related science discipline.
  • Relevant experience in conducting contaminated land and groundwater investigations.
  • Knowledge of the VIC Environment Protection Act 2017 OR SA Environment Protection Act 1993, and associated National Environment Protection Measures.
  • Familiarity with the SA/VIC EPA Auditor scheme and relevant legislation and standards.
  • Proficient in data analysis and utilisation of digital tools for data assessment and visualisation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration skills, and demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff, along with a valid Australian driver’s licence and citizenship for Defence Baseline clearance eligibility.
