General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Container Platform Lead to oversee enterprise container hosting across Kubernetes environments in Azure, AWS, and on‑prem OpenShift for the VA program.

You’ll drive uptime, governance, automation, and modernization with VA stakeholders. You will coordinate with container engineers, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and hosting teams to strengthen reliability and security while maturing governance and performance reporting across VA’s container

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of experience.
• Experience leading container platform operations, Kubernetes/OpenShift management, DevSecOps workflows, or cloud‑native hosting environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in hybrid cloud container platforms (Azure, AWS, on‑prem), cluster lifecycle management, and automation tooling.
• Strong understanding of ITSM, service delivery, platform governance, and enterprise‑class configuration management.
• Ability to evaluate container documentation, cluster configurations, workflows, and automation pipelines for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Experience developing performance plans, audit artifacts, dashboards, and corrective‑action processes.
• Excellent written, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across container engineering, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, hosting operations, and federal organizations.

Aufgaben

• Oversee enterprise container hosting across Kubernetes environments in Azure, AWS, and on‑prem OpenShift—ensuring 99.9% uptime and secure configurations.
• Provide governance and performance oversight for control planes, worker nodes, GitOps pipelines, policy enforcement, cluster lifecycle operations, and vulnerability remediation.
• Work with container engineers, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, developers, and VA stakeholders to strengthen reliability, security, automation, and modernization across VA’s container ecosystem.
• Manage platform performance measurement systems, coordinate testing, validate SLAs, maintain dashboards and reporting, and embed DevSecOps into container lifecycles.
